Updating Lead Data

To update lead data for a customer, follow these simple steps:
Obtain Customer Consent: Before updating any personal details such as the customer's name, email, or phone number, ensure you have received their explicit consent. This is vital for maintaining customer trust and complying with data privacy standards.
  1. Navigate to Contacts and select People from your Web2Chat dashboard. This section displays a list of leads or customers who have previously contacted your support team.
  2. Browse the list to find the customer whose information you wish to update.
  3. Click on their name to open their profile.

Once in the customer’s profile, locate the Edit icon in the left-hand sidebar. Click on the Edit icon to enable editing mode for the customer’s information.
Make the necessary changes to the lead data, including details such as:
  • Email
  • Phone
  • Any other relevant information
Ensure all updates reflect the information provided by the customer. After making the updates, be sure to save the changes to ensure the new information is recorded in the system.
